Volvo Cars, the Swedish automaker, has managed to release the all-new C40 Recharge. This vehicle is their first all-electric car that is based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform. The C40 Recharge will be sharing this platform with the upcoming XC40 Recharge SUV. As for the powertrain, it will be using a single electric motor that is situated at the front axle. This electric motor will be generating a max output of 408 hp and 48713 Nm of torque.

The battery that has been installed in the C40 Recharge is a 78 kWh unit. It is said that this battery will be able to provide the car with a driving range of over 400 km on a single charge as per the WLTP cycle. When it comes to charging, the C40 Recharge will be able to get up to 80% of its battery capacity in just 40 minutes when using a 150 kW fast charger.
